Five artists reflecting multiple perspectives on Ullswater.

In July 2023, the Watershed exhibition in Glenridding shared work from five PLACE Collective artists who each responded to the Ullswater Valley, and to conversations with people who are deeply connected to this place.

The exhibition opened with an evening of live performances for the people who had been involved in the research. In the three days it was open to the public, more than 350 people came to see it. While it provided an opportunity to present artworks, one of the main objectives was to offer a stimulus for new connections and conversations. The thoughts, ideas and discussions that it provoked will feed into the next phase of the Watershed project.
